Unbundling issues, NNPC workers completely shut down activities nationwide today
Nigeria will soon reach the pick of another fuel crisis nationwide as the workers of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), today Wednesday, the activities of the corporation was completely shut down nationwide over the unbundling exercise.
The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), said they were not informed before decisions of the bundling exercise were taken, hence, it is unacceptable to them.
In Ogun state, the workers were seen standing around the NNPC depot mosimi branch holding discussions in small groups.

Some of the workers and marketers who spoke on the condition of anonymity said, the new policy of unilateral and arbitrary restructuring by the minister of state for petroleum resources, I've Kachikwu cannot be accepted without proper consultation of all parties involved before announcing the unbundling.
The minister cannot run the industry as a private estate. He (minister) must carry all Nigerians along. With such a massive decision-making a lot of things would be affected, particularly its implication on workers interest. He said
